Welcome to the original sound of Fiesta Drive,
a tight four-piece guitar based combo which can
turn out foot stomping original rock, generating
the excitement and presence necessary to entertain
any audience.
Formed in 2002 Fiesta Drive are a relatively
new band, though there front man Aron Neale has
been performing extensively both locally and internationally
for the past 12 years.
Aron Neale’s Background
Aron
Neale, singer / songwriter, was born 20th September 1971 in Auckland, New Zealand.
He was raised on the music of the Stones, the
Beatles, Paul Simon, Bob Seger and Fleetwood Mac
– to name the more prominent artists in
his parent’s record collection.
From a young age Aron was in the process of creating
a "sound"; blending these international
influences with his own unique original rock flavour.
Aron went on to develop his own musical interests
including the sounds of popular Rock and
R & B artists such as Springsteen, Mellencamp
and Dylan and the vibrant up tempo country rock
beat of Steve Earle & The Dukes. By the age
of fourteen Aron had been playing guitar for two
years and was in his first garage band. Three
years later he had been performing regularly with
a number of bands as a singer/guitarist, and at
the same time completing studies in Architectural
Quantity Surveying, Construction Project Management
/ Cost Engineering.
Aron's first major band was the well known Auckland
'Folk, Rock & Blues' combo, Acoustic Attitude.
Acoustic Attitude played a very successful mix
of popular covers and original songs, many written
by Aron. Before calling it quits in 1994, Acoustic
Attitude had played many residencies around the
Auckland area, attracting a very large and loyal
following.
The secret of the Attitude's success was the
accessible repertoire: a mix of folk rock, blues,
country and R & B which appealed to a wide
selection of audiences at many popular venues
including The Nag's Head, Water Jump, The Horse
& Trap, Java Jive, The Gluepot, Pier 21 and
at many private parties. They were in demand,
fully professional and fully booked every week.
Since going solo, from 1995 to 2001, Aron has
recorded Various Singles and the self titled album,
"Aron Neale" which includes 16 of Aron's
original compositions. This is his third recording
project since Acoustic Attitudes "Live Attitude"
at Auckland's infamous venue The Gluepot, during
a packed concert in 1993.
Aron has also toured extensively overseas where
he visited the UK, Europe and North America on
a "Rock Pilgrimage" of his musical influences.
Along the way he met and played with John "Cougar"
Mellencamp, Bob Seger and Steve Earle. One of
Aron's songs was selected by the Don Williams
Music Publishing Group at the Los Angeles Songwriters
Showcase.
During this time Aron ‘sounded out’
record labels, visited Mellencamp's recording
studio a number of times, met both John Mellencamp’s
and Steve Earles bands and met with Garth Brooke's
manager, Robert Metzgar, who showed an interest
in promoting Aron's work in the U.S.A.
Aron Neale is now back from overseas, and based
in Auckland with his new band "Fiesta Drive”
which has been enjoying success in New Zealand,
playing successful gigs all over the country.
Off stage, Aron has built his own professional
‘state of the art’ recording studio.
It was in this studio that Aron mixed the audio
for Fiesta Drive’s first DVD, filmed live
at the ‘Kings Arms’ on the 7th of
April 2004. He is currently recording and producing
Fiesta Drives first studio album, as well as various
projects for other popular New Zealand artists.

brand of hard rocking blues. After moving to Auckland
when he was seventeen he soon joined ‘Double
Vision’ who were regulars on the pub circuit.
Murray’s Heavy Metal band ‘Murder
in Paradise’ won third place in the 1995
battle of the bands.

Jason
grew up in Panmure South Auckland, he started
playing the bass 10 years ago.
The bands Jason has played in include Red Rum
(Blues Band), Beaver (Rock Covers Band), and Protocol
an all originals hard rock band. Music is very
much apart of Jason’s family, his father
plays the drums, his uncle plays bass and his
bother Sean is the Singer/ songwriter/ guitarist.
Jason’s influences include Split Enz, Black
Sabbath, Neil Young to name a few.
Henrik Rylev’s Background (Drums)
In
his native Denmark Henrik has played drums for
various blues/rock, rock and hardrock bands. Well
known in the music industry for his session work
for many Danish recording artists including his
work both live and in the studio as a member of
the popular band ‘Pretty Miss Mills’.
Henrik moved to New Zealand 8 years ago and joined
the Auckland band ‘Help Your Selfish’,
and later on he also played in the Auckland band
‘Milk’. Henrik also played with Tim
Werry and the legendary band ‘The Holiday’s’,
